Brian has been in the media design and production business for 8 years. Trained in computer animation and video production he often found it necessary to take pictures for company videos, catalogs, slideshow presentations, texturing and backgrounds for animation, or web design which of course carries over into wedding videos, family slide shows, and other special events. With this ever growing need for images, Brian quickly realized he enjoyed taking pictures and wanted to add this medium to his, already, broad spectrum of skills.

Although specializing in photography and video production, Brian offers graphic design services from family holiday mailing cards to full length company catalogs, logos and corporate identity.

Creative and fun best describes a session with Brian. He feels it is best to capture someone in their element... in their own environment... somewhere they can relate to or interact with. Giving people the opportunity to interact with a real setting brings out more natural expressions and feelings which shows on camera. A pull down back drop leaves no room for imagination or feeling. It is left up to the photographer to pose them and guide them to feel as though they are in the woods or a ball park.

Brian's post processing is yet another art that takes time and attention in achieving crisp, clean, professional photographs. He first shoots by using the highest quality file setting an SLR camera has to offer (RAW). This RAW file generates full, uncompressed images that allow a photographer to have 100%, full control of their images for post processing.

Brian tries to veer from the norm in his style of photography. For instance his "black and white" images aren't really... "black and white". They are merely desaturated to a point where there is just a hint of color left to add drama to a portrait or character to an old car.

"I still do black and white images but I really like desaturating. I think it makes the images look as if you were reminiscing on that event in your life... or as if I captured a dream or a thought."

Brian is very interactive with his subjects. He has a knack for capturing just the right moment in his candids as well as setting up just the right shot.

"I like to get involved with my subjects so they feel comfortable. When they're comfortable, they're natural... which makes for more expressive shots."
